Every Sunday millions of Christians struggle to understand the Gospel reading they hear in church. Many millions more do not bother going. For the thoughtful layperson, as well as the searching agnostic, the stories of Jesus raise many questions that are very often not discussed in a church setting. For example, Jesus was sinless, but Luke tells us, “He grew in wisdom.” Did he ever make mistakes? Did he ever stop learning? Did he know what would happen in the future? Could he be fully human if he did? And how does his being nailed to a cross 2000 years ago help me live my life today? The Faith of Jesus raises and answers questions you are not likely to hear in the typical sermon.
"James Nash has a great blend of the scholarly and pastoral, the intellectual and personal, in his reflections, and I think it works wonderfully."

"As a preacher and pastor I see all kinds of potential uses for this book. It could be used for Bible study, for small group discussions, or for personal devotions. However, personally, I would use it as a resource for preaching."
